Bound in clean light blue cloth with clear black titles to spine, this dated 1942 hardcover First Edition is VG. Signed by author E. Brent Dyer, as follows, "Elinor (M. Brent Dyer, Principlal)" This was a French Examination Prize awarded to Luella M. Gresham, a pupil at The Margaret Roper School, Hereford, where E. Brent Dyer was Principal. Further inscription, all on fixed front endpaper, and hand-written by Brent-Dyer, records these facts. 287pp+1pp list of Brent-Dyer Titles available. With 19 Chapters, Frontis B/w Line Drawing illustration. Brent Dyers inscription to fixed front endpaper, rubber stamp on free front endpapers of Luella Gresham's (Prize Winner) home address in Westcliff-on-sea, and clean rear endpapers. Minimal rubbing to corners and top/tail of spine, but with a crisp, little used feel and generally VG
